They compile a detailed report about the systematic genocide at the camp. However, with Nazi propaganda and international liaisons still in place, their account seems to be too harrowing to believe.

Esta es la historia real de Freddy y Walter, dos jóvenes judíos eslovacos que fueron deportados a Auschwitz en 1942. El 10 de abril de 1944, tras una meticulosa planificación y con la ayuda y la resistencia de los reclusos, consiguen escapar. Mientras los reclusos que habían dejado atrás resisten valientemente a los oficiales nazis, los dos hombres se ven impulsados por la esperanza de que sus pruebas puedan salvar vidas. Demacrados y heridos, se abren camino a través de las montañas de vuelta a Eslovaquia. Con la ayuda de encuentros fortuitos, consiguen finalmente cruzar la frontera y encontrarse con la resistencia y la Cruz Roja. Elaboran un informe detallado sobre el genocidio sistemático en el campo. Sin embargo, con la propaganda nazi y los enlaces internacionales todavía en vigor, su relato parece demasiado desgarrador para ser creíble.

Despite the blockade of the city, mass arrests, and the authorities' attempts to cover up the massacre, Lyudmila searches for her daughter. We don't know how the search will end, but realize that the woman's life won't ever be the same.
